Second North Australian Indigenous Experts Forum - News Story Report

The Second North Australian Indigenous Experts Forum held in Kakadu National Park (NT) 30 April to 2 May, 2013, explored innovative ways for Indigenous interests to engage with governments and industry in northern Australia’s economic future.

Indigenous experts from across the north were adamant that they were not passive agents in determining the north’s future and called upon governments, industries and other interests to respect and acknowledge the uniqueness of north Australia and its peoples and for their inclusion in decisions that ultimately affect their land and resource interests.

22 minutes duration.
