Indigenous Experts Forum develops Prospectus for Sustainable Development
About 110 Indigenous experts, advisors and government representatives travelled to Kakadu National Park, NT to attend the Second Indigenous Experts Forum on Sustainable Economic Development from April 30 – May 2, 2013.
Participants discussed the challenges, consequences and implications of the current suite of proposals to develop north Australia as part of the growing and critical debate on global food security and in response to the Australian Government’s Asian Century White Paper.
This Second Forum report summarises its outcomes, including a framework to develop an Indigenous prospectus for participating in the sustainable development of north Australia.
The Second Forum also produced a News Story Report video (22mins) presented by key speakers.
