Indigenous Experts Panel recommends key reforms across the north

“The north's Indigenous people need to be able to draw greater benefits from development in the region and their unmatched knowledge and dedication to caring for country”, said NAILSMA CEO, Joe Morrison.

Indigenous experts from across northern Australia convened at Mary River NT on 19 - 21 June to set a policy foundation and action-based planning framework for northern development that includes Indigenous people’s interests. Delegates  included young leaders, elders, professionals, practitioners and experts in a range of fields including economics, culture, social wellbeing, environmental sustainability and policy development.
